Shell Pearl
Shell Pearls in all kinds of fun fashion colors? Of course you can find them at Ilona's WebGems!
Ilona travels to Asia several times a year to personally inspect the Shell Pearls. With her eye for detail and her knowledge, she always offers the right price/quality ratio. This means we can confidently offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on our Shell Pearls.
Quality of Shell Pearls
Shell Pearls, they are a lot cheaper than freshwater pearls and baroque pearls, and yet very beautiful! These pearls are cut from very large shells of the South Sea Oyster (hence the name Shells). Each pearl is colored using special, precious techniques and is provided with many microscopically thin layers, sometimes as many as 28 (!) to ensure the beautiful pearl shine. These Shell Pearls are therefore color and wear resistant, low in price and do not necessarily need to be knotted. You can find them with us, nice and easy online with excellent close-up photos so that you can take a good look at the Shell Pearls before ordering.
The nice thing about these pearls is actually the trendy fashion shades in which they are dyed. This makes them easy to combine with your outfit while wearing a beautiful piece of natural product!
Freshwater pearls and Baroque pearls
In addition to Shell Pearls, we also have Freshwater pearls and Baroque pearls in the collection. These are the cultivated pearls, which means that humans start the process of pearl formation, but the beauty of the pearl that is then formed is almost entirely dependent on the mussel in which it grows.
Just a little fact; a pearl purely created in nature is very rare and therefore practically 'priceless'...
